During a rainy evening of May 2007, we received a visit from the Rt Hon David Cameron MP, leader of the opposition (Conservative Party).

Mr Cameron was on a visit to Balsall Heath and had heard about the work of Local Leagues Ltd. He was keen to visit Local Leagues and see for himself firsthand what Local Leagues was all about.

Mr Cameron was impressed by the project – particularly by its groundbreaking work at the heart of some of the most deprived areas in the UK and its diverse provision of sports activities for BME communities.
