The Equalities Minister, Barbara Follett MP, and the Head of Commission for Racial Equality, Trevor Phillips, were in Birmingham to see first-hand the pioneering work of Local Leagues Ltd.
Their first port of call was to Heath Mount School where Local Leagues have had a very long presence. The pair were met by a Director of Local Leagues – Mazar Dad, Local Leagues’ Sports Development Supervisors, Sports Development Coaches, and the Head of the school, Mrs Najma Chaudhury.The visit coincided with sports coaching sessions that take place at the school, provided by Local Leagues Ltd within the grounds of the school.An opportunity to meet with the children was also
provided during the second within the school’s hall.
