Playstation Tournament- Under 12's

2nd April 2008 - Sparkbrook Family Centre

Local Leagues provided a Sony PSP competition funded by Sparkbrook Neighbourhood Forum for children and young people from and around the Sparkbrook area at the Sparkbrook Family Centre.

The format of this event was to use 3 different games; Grand Turismo 4, Tekken 4, and Fight Night Round 3.
Under 12’s
Children under 12 years of age were all entered into the Tekken 4. Everyone present witnessed a thrilling final in which Sharif narrowly defeated Ayesha, to win the PSP.

Under 12’s Tekken 4 results:

• 1st – Sharif
  
• 2nd - Ayesha
  
• 3rd – Sulieman

Over 12’s

There were 2 PSP to be won for the over 12’s. All present competed in Grand Turismo and Fight Night.

Over 12’s Grand Turismo 4 results:

• 1st – Mohammed
  
• 2nd – Omar
  
• 3rd – Mouse

Over 12’s Fight Night Round 3 results:

• 1st – Mouse
  
• 2nd – Khan
  
• 3rd – Ahmed

Winner of each competition were presented with a PSP, second and third place were awarded with PSP goodies.

The atmosphere was great and everyone present displayed great sportsmanship during the competitions. Towards the end of the day refreshments and snacks were provided for participants and volunteers alike. It was quite heartening so see some of the young people volunteer to help with the tidying up after the competition.
