Sparkhill Park & Farm Park Summer Scheme
(24th July – 25th August 2006)
Sparkhill Park and Farm Park were two other venues where, as part of the Summer Scheme, five weeks of sporting activities running twice a week at each venue were organised. The sessions at Farm Park ran on Mondays and Wednesdays, whereas at Sparkhill Park the sessions ran on Tuesdays and Thursdays. At both venues, we expected to work with around 30 young people per session.
Sessions took place between 3.30pm – 5.00pm where we offered a range of different sporting activities that were supervised by at least 3 members of Local Leagues coaching staff.
Sparkhill Park Summary
This part of the Scheme was publicised most intensely within the schools within the locality of both parks. The publicity paid off with attendance at Sparkhill Park being above any of our previous Summer Schemes.
