Drayton Manor Trip

A day out to Drayton Manor Park was organised for 45 girls who were supervised by 4 members of staff from Local Leagues.
Once at Drayton Manor, the girls were split into 4 smaller groups – one per member of staff.
The girls really enjoyed the rides and the outing as a general, and despite the weather, spirits were high.

Calthorpe Park 5-a-Side Football Tournament

(Saturday 26th August 2006)

A 5-a-side football tournament was also held at Calthorpe Park at the end of the summer holiday period. The tournament consisted of two age groups similar to those of the Farm Park; 7 – 11’s (11 teams consisting of 8 players per team), and 12 – 15’s (12 teams consisting of 8 players per team).
The tournament was played out over 4 pitches with 10 staff overseeing the running of the tournament as well as refereeing.

The day went very well with only one team not turning up due to an illness but the fixtures were quickly altered and day progressed without any other delays.
The weather was more sympathetic than it had been over the last few tournaments / activities run earlier in the year.
The matches were played without any hiccups in a very friendly environment and it was a very fun day.
