Rules & Regulations:

ALL PITCH FEES AND UMPIRE FEES MUST BE PAID BEFORE THE START OF THE GAME

IT IS THE RESPONIBILITY OF EACH TEAM CAPTAIN TO CHECK THE OPPOSING TEAMS ID CARDS, ANY DOUBTS RAISE THEM WITH THE UMPIRE AT THE TIME. NO REASONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE GAME HAS STARTED (UNLESS IT IS ABOUT A LATE ARRIVING PLAYER)

BAD WEATHER CONDITIONS

Responsibility of each team to provide a scorer, if there is no scorer from one team then that team will accept other teams scoring. Umpire will check the score books at end of each Innings and sign the book, Both teams will adhere to Umpires decision.

  1. A New ball will be used for the start of each innings.  This is the fielding sides responsibility;
  2. The league will be an eleven a side with the minimum number of players allowed to play being 8;
  3. Any team who does not abide by these rules will be expelled for that tournament and fined £200;
  4. If a team cannot fulfil their fixture or fixtures for whatever reason, they will pay for the cost of the match (pitch fees and Umpires fees for both teams);
  5. Substitute fielders will only be allowed if a player injures themselves during the game.  No substitute will be allowed if a player is already carrying an injury;
  6. Substitutes will not be eligible to bowl or bat;
  7. All legside deliveries will be wides;
  8. Any team/s that is / are not able to start at 1.00pm will lose one ‘over’ every 4 minutes. 
  9. Each team will play each other once;
  10. You must inform the opposing Captain of any players (naming them) who will be arriving late.  This must be done before the toss of the coin (12.45pm);
  11. Once the players are named (cards given to Umpire), no other player/s will be able to replace them.  All ID cards have to be checked for all players playing in matches and MUST be given to the Umpire before the match commences;
  12. The ID cards of ALL players playing will be given to the Umpire;
  13. No player will be allowed to play without an ID card;
  14. No excuses for not having an ID card available will be accepted;
  15. Players turning up late will not be able to play if they arrive after 2pm
  16. If they are late, then they cannot bowl or bat until they have been at the ground for that amount of time.  The time will only start from the time they have informed the opposing Captain and the Umpire.  Excuses will not be accepted.  Fielding can commence immediately upon informing the Opposing Captain and the Umpire;
  17. Any player/s arriving after that time will not be allowed to play in that game. That means no fielding as well; no substitutes allowed for replacement;
  18. 30 overs per side, unless a side is bowled out earlier;
  19. Maximum 6 overs per bowler;
  20. 20 points will be awarded for a win (if scores are level then the team losing the fewer wickets will be the winners);
  21. 10 points will be awarded for a draw ("Bad Weather Conditions");
  22. 15 points will be awarded for a tie (a tie is when both teams have scored the same amount of runs, lost the same amount of wickets at end of game;
  23. If at the end of group stage two teams are level on points then, then head to head results will determine the winner, i.e. the result of the match when they played each other;
  24. If still the result is level then net run rate in the Group will be the determining factor
  25. If still level then there will be a bowl out (3 bowlers from each team bowling 1 ball each), whoever wins this will be the winners;
  26. If still level then sudden death rules will be applied (1 ball each until 1 team misses);
  27. If at the end of the group stage more than 2 teams finish level on points, then Net run rate will be used to determine who progresses;
  28. If by the above rule we still have 2 teams level, then the head to head rule will apply between them;
  29. If still level then there will be a bowl out (3 bowlers from each team bowling 1 ball each), whoever wins this will be the winners;
  30. If still level then sudden death rules will be applied (1 ball each until 1 team misses);
  31. It is the responsibility of each team to provide a scorer.  If there is no scorer from one team then that team will accept the other team’s scoring.  Where an agreement cannot be reached, the Umpire will check the scorebook (batting and bowling figures) to determine the final score;
  32. Top 2 teams from each group will play in Semi Final:
  33. 1st Group A v 2nd Group B;
  34. 1st Group B v 2nd Group A;
  35. Winners will play from these will play the Final;
  36. All results must be phoned in or sent via text straight after the match on 07737069240;
  37. The information that is required is the result of the game in full (who won), names of 2 teams playing, their scores in full, wickets lost and overs, Batsmen who score 50 or more, Bowlers who take 4 wickets or more and anybody taking a hatrick.
