Rules & Regulations:
- All matches will start at 1.00pm (1st game) and 4.30pm approximately (2nd game);
- Any team/s that is / are not able to start at 1.00pm will lose one ‘over’ every 4 minutes. Same principle applies for the 2nd match;
- Each team will play each other once;
- You must inform the opposing Captain of any players (naming them) who will be arriving late. This must be done before the toss of the coin (12.45pm);
- Once the players are named (cards given to Umpire), no other player/s will be able to replace them. All ID cards have to be checked for all players playing in matches and MUST be given to the Umpire before the match commences;
- The ID cards of ALL players playing will be given to the Umpire;
- No player will be allowed to play without an ID card;
- No excuses for not having an ID card available will be accepted;
- Players turning up late will not be able to play if they arrive after 1.45pm (first game) or 45 minutes after second game starts;
- If they are late by 30 minutes then they cannot bowl or bat until they have been at the ground for that amount of time. The time will only start from the time they have informed the opposing Captain and the Umpire. Excuses will not be accepted. Fielding can commence immediately upon informing the Opposing Captain and the Umpire;
- Any player/s arriving after that time will not be allowed to play in that game. That means no fielding as well;
- 20 overs per side, unless a side is bowled out earlier;
- Maximum 4 overs per bowler;
- 20 points will be awarded for a win;
- 10 points will be awarded for a draw (Bad Weather conditions.)
- 15 points will be awarded for a tie (a tie is when both teams have scored the same amount of runs, lost the same amount of wickets at end of game. If they are still level then the Runs scored and wickets lost rule will apply at the 10 Over stage.);
- Both sides must face 10 overs to obtain a result. The score must be kept at 10 overs for both teams. Example: Team batting faces 20 overs, scores 200 with 100 runs scored at the 10th over. The score at the end of the 10th over will be kept, in this case 100 runs; Team batting second faces 15 overs and scores 198 runs but the game is stopped because of bad weather. Their score at the end of their 10th over was 90 runs, so the team who scored 100 runs at the end of their 10th wins the match. Only the score at the end of the 10th over will count in case of bad weather or light. If both teams do not face 10 overs then it will be a draw;
- If scores are level then the team losing the fewer wickets will be the winners;
- If at the end of group stage two teams are level on points then, then head to head results will determine the winner, i.e. the result of the match when they played each other;
- If still the result is level then the team scoring the most runs in ALL their fixtures in their group will be the winners;
- If still level, then the team that has taken the most wickets in all their fixtures in their group will be the winners;
- If still level then the team that has conceded the least runs in their group will be the winners;
- If still level then the team that has conceded the least wickets will be the winners;
- If still level then there will be a bowl out (3 bowlers from each team bowling 1 ball each), whoever wins this will be the winners;
- If still level then sudden death rules will be applied (1 ball each until 1 team misses);
- If at the end of the group stage more than 2 teams finish level on points, the team scoring the most runs in ALL their fixtures in their group will be the winners;
- If still level then the team that has taken the most wickets in all their fixtures in their group will be the winners;
- If still level then the team that has conceded the least runs in their group will be the winners;
- If still level then the team that has conceded the least wickets will be the winners;
- If still level then there will be a bowl out (3 bowlers from each team bowling 1 ball each), whoever wins this will be the winners.
- If still level then sudden death rules will be applied (1 ball each until 1 team misses);
- It is the responsibility of each team to provide a scorer. If there is no scorer from one team then that team will accept the other team’s scoring. Where an agreement cannot be reached, the Umpire will check the scorebook and the bowling figures must be the final score;
- In extreme cases and if safe, a 10 over game can be played, only after confirming with Zhor Malik (if game not completed it will be deemed a draw);
- New ball will be used for the start of each innings. This is the fielding sides responsibility;
- The league will be an eleven a side with the minimum number of players allowed to play being 8;
